Try this on for size…

One day a large multinational force led by… say… Germany came into America and said “Hey, guys… you know what? We know that your ancestors have been living here for hundreds of years, but really, this land was promised to the Indians by their gods yonks before you guys got here. But don’t worry, we’re not going to drive you out entirely, we’re just going to chase you East of the Rockies. Everything west of there belongs to the Indians now, and if you come over here, they’re within their rights to kill you. And we’re going to be giving them weapons to do it with.”

Not cool, huh?

But that’s more or less what we did to the Palestinians when we decided that we were going to use force to give the Israelis a “homeland”.

One good thing that’s come out of this latest iteration of WWIII in the Middle East is that it’s at least got us TALKING about why we’re supporting Israel over there.
