A Quickie Followed by Orgasm

First, a quick note.

I’m thinking that the tone of my blogs may shift over the next year from more political to more social. I’m feeling optimistic about our government in a way that I haven’t in my adult life. Feeling more like it’s there to serve me and less to fuck me. I feel like we have repeated the 1920’s almost note-for-note. If that’s the case, then it’s time for the hard but rewarding 1930’s, and a repeat of the glory years of the 1940’s and 1950’s, but hopefully without the catastrophic wars.

Having said that… LET’S TALK ORGASM!

I watched a documentary recently called “Electric Love” about a doctor named Stuart Maloy, who, while working with a female patient on pain relief through implantation of spinal electrodes, discovered that these can also prompt an orgasm in certain patients. As far as I know, he has about a one in three success rate so far.

What frankly shocked me about the show was the number of psychologists, both male and female, who took the time to come on and say that women shouldn’t focus on orgasm as a sexual objective.

Beg pardon?

You know, I can’t help but wonder… if 25% of men couldn’t achieve orgasm for whatever reason, I wonder if there would be any psychologists there to reassure us that it really wasn’t THAT important. With the number of hard-on pills on the market, I kind of think not. I mean, I can’t speak for all men, of course, but the very REASON that I want a hard-on is so that I can HAVE AN ORGASM!

Someone also presented the outdated and puritanical opinion that female orgasm serves no purpose other than “just pleasure”. First off… SO? Second off, completely wrong. About ten years ago, we discovered God’s amazing design of the cervix, so that when a woman is having an orgasm, the cervix actually dips down like a bird to collect any stray semen. So, even though it is not necessary for reproduction (just like the male orgasm), it DOES facilitate it.

I guess that what I’m asking, guys and brainwashed women… can we please STOP telling non-orgasmic women that it isn’t all that important and that they’re not missing anything? Can we PLEASE continue work like this… maybe even help fund it, so that it proceeds more quickly and efficiently? After all… a screaming orgasm is a terrible thing to waste.
